We, along with our trusted partners, host events that EDUCATE throughout the year across North Carolina. Whether you're writing a business plan, setting service fees, or securing small business loans, our programs are designed to equip veteran/milspouse entrepreneurs with the tools, strategies, and knowledge needed to grow and sustain their businesses. As a membership perk we built a toolkit full of educational resources and actionable documents to support entrepreneurs on their journey. Check back often for the latest updates!

// Statewide Signature Events

​

Each year, we host 4 CORE events (with many regional & virtual in between) to connect veteran/milspouse business owners with opportunities and insights:
📌 Annual Meeting – A gathering of veteran/milspouse business owners and stakeholders to discuss the evolving business landscape and opportunities for growth. Think of a business pulsecheck for a blueprint for action.
📌 Procurement Summit – A premier event that brings our mission to life in real time. We provide direct access to procurement opportunities with corporations, government agencies, and strategic partners looking to do business with veteran/milspouse owned companies. We also highlight vendors, facilitate educational workshops and so much more!

📌 Annual Golf Tournament – Just day filled with camaraderie, fun competition, and purpose! You know what they say...business deals are made on the golf course! This event is open to golfers of all skill levels and serves as an incredible opportunity to support veteran-owned businesses, network, have some great food and prizes all while enjoying a beautiful day on the course. 

📌 Gala – This is our year end celebration! Our chance for everyone to come together to celebrate Veteran/Milspouse achievements, and businesses. Its a black tie/formal event with entertainment, dancing, food and an award ceremony. Open to all Veterans, active duty, military spouses and supporters.

// Strategic Partnerships for Business Success

​

NCVETBIZ actively collaborates with state agencies, nonprofits, and corporate partners to provide timely business assistance and unlock procurement opportunities for veteran entrepreneurs. Through these partnerships, we ensure that veteran-owned businesses are positioned for success in North Carolina’s thriving economy. These partner agencies include the NCMBC (NC Military Business Center), the SBTDC (Small Business and Technology Development Center), the Government Contracting Assistance Program (GCAP) and the SBA (U.S. Small Business Association).   NCVETBIZ is also a partner of the VBOC (Veterans Business Outreach Center) - located on the campus of Fayetteville State University - and sponsor of their annual Bootcamp Program for veteran entrepreneurs.

At our 2024 Annual Meeting, NCVETBIZ was honored to sign a Strategic Alliance Memorandum (SAM) with the SBA.  The purpose of this agreement is to develop and foster mutual understanding and a working relationship between the SBA and NCVETBIZ in order to strengthen and expand small business development for veterans in North Carolina.
