CONNECT
We work to CONNECT veteran owned businesses and veteran professionals with each other to encourage one on one mentoring, coaching, and business partnering opportunities. We also work to connect our members to relevant contacts and resources like procurement officials in state and local government, as well as in corporate America.
Our members have numerous opportunities to make valuable connections throughout the year at our Annual Meeting, Procurement Summit, educational workshops, and micro networking events. These events have been very successful in keeping our membership, partners, and stakeholders informed of the ever changing business landscape in North Carolina and providing them access to resources and procurement opportunities.
A membership in the association is an extremely cost effective business investment. Our members consistently share that the connections made through the Association have proven to be the most valuable aspect of their membership. These connections have led to new business opportunities, professional mentoring, and shared personal wisdom from seasoned veteran business owners and veteran professionals.
We promote these Veteran-to-Veteran (“V to V”) connections at our micro networking events across the state. These events include receptions prior to partner events as well as standing breakfast or lunch meetings. For example, every fourth Thursday in Raleigh, we gather for lunch at a local restaurant prior to the monthly Governor’s Working Group on Veterans, Service Members and Their Families. Veterans and other business leaders in the community come together for a meal and informal networking before heading over to the NC National Guard Headquarters for the official meeting.
Please check the NC VetBiz calendar for upcoming micro networking events. If you are interested in hosting a micro networking event in your area or collaborating, please Contact Us.
